Using Plex

Theater allows you to access a personal media library through Plex. Follow these steps to connect to your Plex server and start watching your content.

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

  • The Plex server is running and up to date

  • Your Apple Vision Pro is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Plex server (for local access)

  • You have your Plex username and password ready

Connecting to Plex

  1. From inside a venue or from the home 🍿 Lobby, select the 🎞️ β€œFilm” icon for Media.

  2. Select the Plex β€œ>” icon and Plex Media Server option on the left hand side of the window.

  3. When prompted, enter your Plex username and password

  4. If you have multiple servers, select the one you want to connect to

Using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you have 2FA enabled on your Plex account:

  1. Enter your username and password as normal

  2. When prompted, enter the 2FA code from your authentication app

  3. If using email-based 2FA, check your email for the verification code

Accessing Remote Servers

To access your Plex server when not on the same network:

  1. Ensure the user hosting the remote server subscribes to Plex Pass

  2. Confirm your Plex server has remote access enabled (check your Plex settings)

  3. Sign in to Theater using your Plex account credentials

  4. Your remote servers should appear automatically if properly configured

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

If you cannot connect to your Plex server:

  1. Verify your Plex server is running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

  2. Ensure your Vision Pro and Plex server are on the same Wi-Fi network (for local access)

  3. Check that your Plex username and password are correct

  4. Restart both your Plex server and the Theater app

  5. Verify that your Plex server is accessible from other devices
